For decades, Bangladeshi workers have been the backbone of global industries — contributing not only to foreign economies but also to our nation’s prosperity.

Behind every successful migration, however, lies a complex web of processes—numerous compliances, scattered approvals, and coordination across stakeholders. To streamline this and ensure transparency, efficiency, and trust, the Government of Bangladesh, with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Government of Switzerland, has launched the Overseas Employment Platform (OEP). This fully digital, paperless platform modernizes migration governance, making the process smoother and more reliable globally.

The OEP serves as a comprehensive, integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, connecting all stakeholders in the migration ecosystem — including aspirant migrants, foreign employers, Bangladesh missions abroad, recruiting agencies, Technical Training Centres (TTCs), Regional and District Employment and Manpower Offices, Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET), Wage Earners Welfare Board, airport immigration authorities, and returnee migrants to manage their operations for transparency in the migrants lifecycle management. Concurrent users of the system are more than 50,000 globally.

The OEP system has been fully operational since July 01, 2025. As of today (March 12, 2026):

• 4,556 Verified Overseas Employers submitted 12,71,093 overseas jobs, verified by Bangladesh missions abroad.

• 182 Bangladesh Missions are verifying foreign employers, job demands, and visas.

• 22,22,937 Aspirant Migrants registered through NID verification from the central server.

• 2,728 Recruiting Agencies are currently registered on the platform.

• 18,69,117 Aspirant Migrants applied for Emigration Clearance.

• 17,77,522 Aspirant Migrants received approved Emigration Clearances through the platform.

• 12,04,373 Aspirant Migrants enrolled for skill training in 134 TTCs and other training institutions.

• 11,24,017 Certificates have been generated after completion of training.
